IISc proposes to build a new women’s hostel on its Bangalore campus. It is imperative that women students stay on campus to gain maximum benefit from accessing world-class research facilities and academic infrastructure. IISc students are some of the brightest in India, selected through rigorous national competitive exams. Several women students also come from disadvantaged communities, backward regions and far-flung areas.
Impact: Empowering more women students to pursue research and increasing the number of women students at IISc.

Target: 3 blocks each at Rs. 20 crores. Each block can be named after the contributor. A small percentage (~5%) of each contribution may be used for administrative/overhead expenses.
