The Indian Institute of Science (IlSc) is India’s leading institution of advanced education and research in the sciences and in engineering. Since its inception in 1909, IISc has produced more than 30,000 graduates in various disciplines. The Institute is truly proud of its illustrious and accomplished alumni/ae who have made their mark across the world.
Alumni/ae who have graduated with a degree from IISc are eligible for this award.
This award will recognize outstanding contributions made by alumni/ae to their profession and/or to the society and/or to the Institute. The awardees will be honored at the annual IISc Alumni Reunion to be held in December 20-22, 2024 in person at the JN Tata Auditorium, IISc campus.
We invite alumni/ae as well as current and former faculty members to nominate suitable candidates for this award, using our portal. Nominations of women alumnae are particularly encouraged. Kindly note that self-nominations are not permitted.
Deadline for nominations: August 31, 2024; 5:00 PM IST

Instructions: You will have to register using your email id. Please check the activation link in your email. After activation, please log in again to download the MS Word application/nomination form from the portal. If you do not see this email with activation link even after a few minutes, please check your junk/spam folders.
1. The following information about the nominee must be completed in the MS Word application/nomination form (available to download from the portal):
- Key (5-6) research/industry/professional contributions, Significance and impact of contributions (in 200 words), Major contributions to the Indian Institute of Science, if applicable (in 200 words), Top 5 Awards/recognitions,
2. Two-page CV of the nominee.
The completed MS Word application/nomination form and the two-page CV must be uploaded by logging into this portal.
Email submissions are strongly discouraged.
The committee will evaluate all applications received and the winner(s) will be intimated in the second half of October. We look forward to meeting you at the upcoming Alumni Reunion later this year. Kindly visit the website for details of events of IISc Alumni Reunion 2024.
