IISc AANA – UG Women’s Scholarships Endowment Fund

Undergraduate Program • Ongoing

About

A few years ago, IISc found that the flagship 4-year undergraduate B.S (Research) has less than 20% women students. The ratio was too low, and funding resources were limited. Hence, IISc reached out to their alums to sponsor UG scholarships for women to augment the gender ratio. The scholarship program was initiated by the IISc AANA Midwest Chapter in 2022 with an award of three fellowships. Subsequently, in 2023, three more fellowships were awarded.

From 2026, thanks to further generous funding by Dr. Meena Rao and her network of friends and family, the Dr N Raghuveer Moudgal Fellowship, under AANA fellowships will be operational. This will be awarded once in six years for the duration of four years.
