An Endowment for Instituting Annual Teaching Awards

IISc has a long and rich tradition of teaching that has produced extraordinarily trained workforce for the government laboratories, industry, and of course academia. It becomes even more important now with increasing emphasis on quality teaching and growing student strength. In order to recognize outstanding teachers, IISc plans to institute multiple annual teaching awards, one per division at the Assistant Professor level in all its six research divisions, and two at the senior professor levels across the Institute. We invite contributions to establish a fund to facilitate monetary awards.
