The Sony India Software Centre Women MTech Fellowships have been instituted at IISc to encourage highly talented women students to pursue careers in deep technology sector in order to address the gender inequality in science and technology.
The Fellowships are given to seven of the incoming MTech students of various programs of the EECS division and the Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS).
Entitlements of the Fellowship
Enhanced fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month for 24 months.
Travel cum contingency amount of Rs. 1,10,000 for international/national travel and other expenses to support research including buying a laptop.
