Pravega, the undergraduate fest of IISc, continues to be an unmatched platform that brings together the finest minds in Science, Technology, and Culture. Over the years, Pravega has seen remarkable participation in its science quizzes, cultural competitions, and concerts, embodying the spirit of IISc and revitalising its undergraduate culture. Pravega is tentatively scheduled during the first week of November, 2023.

This year, Pravega unfurls into five vibrant facets: Sci-Tech, Culturals, Carvaan, Aaghaaz, and Pronites, each designed to celebrate a unique aspect of student life.

The Sci-Tech branch illuminates the path of scientific and technological discovery. Our esteemed science quizzes, including Decoherence (Physics), Chemenigma (Chemistry), BioBlitz (Biology), Enumeration (Maths), Bad-Hoc-Hypothesis, and the popular Quadsparks, are carefully curated to challenge and inspire. The Tech segment brings innovation to the forefront with the Pravega Innovation Summit, Hackathon, and Exhibitions, offering a platform to showcase groundbreaking technological advancements.

Carvaan marks a novel initiative where we extend the thrill of our cultural events beyond the boundaries of our campus. We venture into nine of India’s pulsating cities, conducting offline preliminaries for Singing, Dancing, Fashion events, and more. The finalists, selected from the length and breadth of the country, will gather on our Bengaluru campus for a grand and electrifying finale.

Aaghaaz, our inter-college sports fest, heralds a celebration of athleticism and team spirit. It features diverse sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Handball, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, and Volleyball, setting the stage for participants to display their prowess and sportsmanship.

Our three-day music fiesta, Pronites, promises to be a spectacular event. Previous editions have seen artists of the likes of DJ Tejus, Nucleya, and Tesseract, and we expect this year’s lineup to be just as thrilling.
