MTech Fellowship Program by Zeiss Group

Artificial Intelligence is set to transform the field of eyecare by providing innovative solutions that streamline processes, increase accuracy, and improve patient outcomes. ZEISS and IISc have joined forces to explore and promote the use of advanced AI technologies in eye care. ZEISS is sponsoring 6 MTech students for the next 3 years through its CSR sponsored ‘MTech Fellowship Program’ at IISc. The fellowship is intended for M.Tech. students in Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science & Engineering, and Computational and Data Science.

Siemens Healthineers MTech (Bioengineering) Fellowship

The Centre for Diagnostics at Siemens Healthineers has funded an MTech fellowship in Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Science. The fellowship offers enhanced scholarship to the selected MTech student and funds to support the collaborative project undertaken. Students get an enhanced fellowship of Rs 25000 per month. Aman Pawar and Abhinav Raghunath were the recipients of this in 2024 and 2023 respectively.

Siemens Technology India PhD Fellowships

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited have established four fellowships to be awarded annually to PhD. candidates from the Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (CPDM), and the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems (RBCCPS). The winners will be entitled to a fellowship amount of Rs 70,000, as well as travel cum contingency funds up to Rs 2,00,000. 2022 Awardees were Sangeerth P, Vaishnavi J, Himanshu Vishwakarma and Vinay Venugopal.

IISc-Achira Labs Fellowships

Achira Labs Pvt Ltd. has established an MTech Fellowship for students of the Bioengineering programme at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The fellowship is awarded to a second-year student pursuing Bioengineering based on CGPA score in the first semester at IISc and their motivation to work on specific projects. Students get an enhanced fellowship of Rs 24,800 per month. Rohitraj Ray is the winner for 2024.

IISc-Vantage MTech Fellowship in Bioengineering

Vantage Research Pvt Ltd has established fellowship for MTech students at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). This fellowship is for students pursuing Bioengineering program at IISc. Students get a monthly fellowship amount of Rs 25,000 for 15 months and travel & contingency of Rs 60,000. Sayantani Garai was the winner for 2024.

Shell India MTech Fellowships

Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd has established fellowship for MTech students at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). This fellowship is for students in various programs at IISc. Students get a monthly fellowship amount of Rs 25,000 per month and contingency of Rs 1,50,000.

CeNSE Fellowships

The Centre for Nano Science and Engineering is launching the “MTech Fellowship Program” with the objective of attracting talent from traditional areas of engineering and science to the emerging electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry, and supporting them to undertake research in the fields of Advanced Materials, Semiconductor Fabrication & Packaging, Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE), etc. This program will help students to efficiently bridge the gap between the foundation they have acquired in their undergraduate courses in mechanical, electrical, materials and chemical engineering or physical and chemical sciences and the job requirements of companies in this area. The benefits to Industry include access to this talent pool, an opportunity to shape the MTech curriculum and to collaborate with faculty members at CeNSE.

As part of the CeNSE MTech fellowship programme, there will be various engagements planned between the students and industry sponsors to enhance knowledge exchange and foster stronger collaboration. The fellowship will encourage students to think of challenges faced by the industry, research solutions, and open up internship opportunities for students to join the sponsoring companies. The students will get an opportunity to interact, learn, work, and get mentored by industry leaders from across the globe.

Entitlements of the Fellowship
• Enhanced fellowship of INR 24,800 per month for 12 months
• Attending conferences shall be supported
• Engagement with sponsors including opportunities for internships, placement & career guidance.

• All 2nd Year MTech students of Centre for Nano Science & Engineering (CeNSE)
