The IISc-Sri BM SreeRama Raju Top-up Fellowship has been instituted by alumnus M Surendra Raju (ME, ECE-2001) in the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering through an endowment to the Indian Institute of Science.  

 The IISc-Sri BM SreeRama Raju Fellowship will be awarded to a second year MTech student as a top-up fellowship. This top-up fellowship will be awarded to the student with the highest CGPA after the completion of the second term, who does not have any other top-up or higher fellowships.   

 

Entitlements of the Fellowship  

  • An enhanced fellowship of Rs. 17400 per month for 12 months (Rs. 12,400 per month from IISc and Rs. 5000 per month from the donor) 
  • A monthly Stipend for 12 Months of Rs 5000/-  

 

About Sri BM SreeRama Raju  

Sri BM SreeRama Raju was born in Bandlapalli, a small village in Anantapur district in the year 1918. After having completed his teacher training education, he served at various government schools in the capacity of teacher and headmaster. He had a great passion for teaching languages and mathematics. He passed away in the year 1970. He is fondly remembered as a person who dedicated his life to teaching and mentoring students from all walks of life. 

 

About Surendra Raju  

M Surendra Raju was born in Madanapalle, a small town in Chitoor district in the year 1975. He was brought up in Bangalore. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from BMS college of Engineering and Master of Engineering from the ECE Department, IISc in the year 2001. He has over 20 years of experience in System/Algorithm design and development of RF/Baseband solutions for Wireline and Wireless standards with 5 granted patents in the field of Communication Engineering. He currently is working as a Senior Principal Engineer at Morse Micro India Pvt. Ltd.
